speakers and amp power?
I installed a pair of CDT audio cl-62 component speakers. They are rated at 160W rms and have a sensitivity rating of 92.3. They sound good but I'm wondering if they can sound better. I am powering them with 40W rms each with an Alpine mrp-f240 amp. I dont really play it super loud, but I like good accurate sound quality and to fill the whole truck. Questions...would upgrading the power of my amp make a noticable difference in sound quality? or would it just allow me to play the speakers louder?
yes, you can put 160 watts from an amp to them, but dont go higher than 160 because you dont want to over power them
