How can I remain calm during my drivers test?

In taking my German drivers test I have failed twice! This is because I "failed" to remain calm, and keep a cool head. I was soo nervous, I could barely use the clutch!(My legs were shaking). My driving instructor says my driving is "prima", and "excellent." I have great driving lessons, and I feel confident and calm. During my first two attempts, I couldn't focus and use the knowledge I know to the best of my ability.By German law I only have one try left.(You only have 3 attempts before you must wait atleast 3 months.) And now I am more nervous than ever before!! Getting my liscense means so much to me. I have so many hopes, desires and expectations from my family and peers; in acquireing my liscense. Please, what can I do to calm my nerves??

No one likes test or exams, therein lies the problem. Despite the fact that you know you can drive this nervousness is what's causing you to fail. Try to the best of your ability to block out the fact that there's someone critiquing you. Start psyching yourself up days prior to the test and telling yourself you can do it; build up confidence that you're going to pass the test with flying colors.

I'm sure your family and peers understand the anxiety that you're going through and are not looking down on you. Good luck, I'll say a prayer for you. Let me know how everything turns out.
