Frame Purple
How can I get a replacement purple heart award?
My grandpa (deseased) was a paratrooper in WWII. I have heard he was awarded 2 purple hearts... his x girlfriend (no name) took them and was never heard from again. I want to know how to find out if he was infact awarded them and if i can get replacemnts to frame them in honor of him.... Please no military lingo... don't know understand the abbrevieations etc. have been reading and looking into this but, don't understand half of it.
Go and talk to the nearest recruiter for the branch of service he was in. That's part of their job. Or, contact your congressman and talk to him/her.
