Leather Waterproof
Leather or textile motor cycle clothing?
I've just bought my first 'proper' bike and am looking for a reasonable set of clothing ( around £500).
I prefer the look of leather but as I plan to ride most of the year I wondered how waterproof leather is?
Would rain ruin leather?
Would leather offer better protection in an accident?
Is there a difference in comfort?
This is a fair wack of money for me so I want to get it right

Leather is more protective than an anorak type thing for when youre bouncing down the motorway on your ass..
Its also more waterproof- you can treat it with some stuff to waterproof it better - we used to call it dubbin but I dont know the real name of it.
Its also traditional to wear on a bike.
And its quite comfortable.
Plus its just leather, so ya gotta wear it!!!
