Minus Ion

Is my chemistry professor corrupt?
He marked alot of answers I think I got right wrong on my exam and I got an 84.
The first ones I got wrong were who discovered the electron and the charge of the electron. I put Thomson and Millikan respectively but he marked then wrong.
Then he needed the number of neutrons in an O ion with a minus 2 charge and I put 8 and he marked that wrong.
Then he asked for the name of the molecule Co(OH)2. (2 is the subscript) and I put Cobalt Hydroxide and he marked THAT wrong.
Then I'm sure I got this one wrong but it might be right,
he asked to label each a combination, combustion, decomposition or deox reaction and for these two:
2C3H6+9O2 ------> 6CO2+6H20 I put Redox
6Li+N2 ------> 2Li3N I put Decomposition
Is my professor corrupt? Are these answers really incorrect? Will he correct them if I bring my exam to him?
It looks like he messed up, as it is widely accepted that Thomson discovered the Electron ... and Co(OH)2 is Cobalt Hydroxide!
So, I would approach him and ask why certain questions are marked wrong when they appear to be correct. And get a 'correct' answer from him if he disagrees and says you answers are wrong.
It may not be corruption, just good old fashioned cock up.
