How early should I show up to play "dawn patrol" at Torrey Pines?
How early for weekends and how early for a weekday?
I don't need to be the first group out, but I want to be sure I can get out before the normal 7:30 tee-times start.
I did this in the mid 1990's while living in California.
We got there around 4am for a Tuesday morning, got in line, and got out pretty easily.
I'd say weekends are a much tougher "get" than a weekday; also consider the time of year.
BTW, it was well worth it; we played the morning round, had some food, and played a second 18.
